A man, 19, and a boy, 16, face charges while a third suspect is still sought for a home invasion and carjacking

Carjackers work fast, but York Regional Police were working fast too.
These three accused armed home invaders in Richmond Hill early Thursday thought they were getting away with a beautiful Lamborghini, allegedly taken at gunpoint during forced break-in of a home near Rothbury and Gamble Rds.
“At approximately 4:30 a.m., investigators located the stolen Lamborghini parked with a suspect vehicle, a white Range Rover, in the area of Grover Hill Ave. and Frank Endean Rd.,” Const. James Dickson said in a statement released Friday.

Apparently they didn’t think that one through – and York cops were able to get a little two-for-one stolen vehicle action going.
But it gets better.
Police allegedly caught one suspect in the Lambo and another near the Range Rover, which had been reported stolen from Toronto on Sept. 10.
It was a case of double jeopardy.
“The vehicles were contained and two suspects were taken into custody after attempting to flee,” Dickson said.
Dickson told the Toronto Sun the Lambo and police cruisers sustained some damage but no one was hurt.
All of this occurred three hours from the time of the original alleged crime – a violent home invasion on Thursday at approximately 1:30 a.m.
“Three suspects entered the residence by smashing the rear glass door and confronted the victims with firearms,” Dickson said.

As Dickson said, the latest “trend” cops are seeing is car thieves looking for keys to access to vehicles and escape faster, which means people with a nice car parked out front may end up with someone trying to come into their home looking for key FOBs.

That’s what allegedly happened in this case. But it’s not always an open road to escape.
Two suspects are now charged and before the courts and police are on the hunt for a third suspect who managed to escape.
Bilrai Bal, 19, of Woodstock, and a 16-year-old Brampton boy are each charged with robbery using restricted or prohibited firearm, wearing a disguise with intent and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5.000.

Police say Bal was on a probation order at the time of his arrest and the young offender is currently on bail for previous robbery charges.
Investigators have released a photo of a third suspect who was wearing a hooded sweater, grey athletic pants with black stripes down the legs and black shoes.
In addition, police are hoping for more information people may have concerning other car thefts.
“The investigation is ongoing,” Dickson said.

Police are hoping somebody may drop a dime to help expand this investigation and perhaps locate more stolen cars.
As the Greater Toronto Area has learned, there are many nice models that can disappear in mere moments and then they vanish into a shipping container on their way to a new owner on the other side of the world.
But not this time.
