A 32-year-old Brampton church “youth leader and worship director” is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old.

In a statement issued Friday, Peel Regional Police allege the accused met with the teen on various occasions between May 1 and Aug. 15 and the young person was sexually assaulted.
On Friday, police arrested Adam Watson, of Brampton, charging him with sexual assault and sexual interference.
Police said Watson had been working at a church in Brampton for about three years.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims, so they have released a photo of the accused.

A 69-year-old Bowmanville is accused of threatening a female and then police officers while brandishing a knife.
Durham Regional Police say officers, including members of the Tactical Support Unit, responded to a death threat call in the area of Bowmanville and Hartwell Aves. around 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police allege that a man harassed and made death threats toward a female.
“Police arrived on scene and located the suspect, who immediately brandished a knife and began making threats towards officers,” police alleged in a news release issued Friday. “Officers successfully de-escalated the situation and took the suspect into custody without incident.”
Miguel Palacios-Ferman, of Bowmanville, is charged with two counts each of uttering death threats and assault with a weapon, as well as possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and criminal harassment.

CLARINGTON MAN FACES CHILD PORN CHARGES
A 30-year-old man faces a multitude of child porn charges following an investigation in Oshawa.
In a news release issued on Friday, Durham Regional Police said members of the Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) executed a search warrant on July 31 at the residence of a man believed to be making and sharing child pornography.
Police allege the man was using the Telegram app with user names ‘C Ja’ and ‘Nomey6969.’
He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with the Sex Offender Information Registration Act and Christopher’s Law (sex offender registry).

Several electronic devices were seized from the home.

Police claim analysis of the accused’s electronic devices revealed a “multitude of child pornographic content, including plans to travel and commit sexual acts on underage persons.”
On Friday, members of the ICE unit, with help from the Offender Management Unit, located the suspect and took him into custody without incident to face additional charges.
Christopher Jackson, of Clarington, is charged with possession of child pornography, make child pornography, import/distribute/possess child pornography for the purpose of distribution, agree to commit a sexual offence against a person under 16, access child pornography, five counts of breach order form sexual offence conviction, and eight counts of fail to comply with probation order.
Police are concerned about the possibility of other alleged victims and as such have released a photo of the accused.
